NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME
The scheme was launched by the Ministry of Education and Youth Welfare, Government
of India for the under-graduate students in the Universities and Colleges, in order
to give them a practical training in Social Services and to familiarize them with
the needs and problems of the weaker sections of the society in rural and urban
areas. Under this scheme NSS camps are organized and work for the upliftment of
the rural and urban areas is undertaken for at least 120 hours. All the participants
are issued certificates of credit.
SCIENCE ASSOCIATION
Since the inception of science courses in the college in 1999, Science Association,
comprising meritorious and active students of the faculty was constituted with a
view to inculcate scientific temper and spirit of enquiry among them. This association
also aims to provide opportunity for overall development of the students' personality
and create leadership quality among the youth of science stream. The association
consistently organizes various competitions in the realm of science and annual function
in order to felicitate the winner and bright students.
STUDENTS' LITERARY AND WELFARE SOCIETY
The purpose of Literary & Welfare Society is to provide opportunity for overall
development of the student’s ability in terms of speech and writing etc. and to
inculcate leadership quality among the students. The society is functioning from
the session 2007-2008.
NATIONAL CADET CORPS (FROM 64 U.P. BATALIAN)
Two platoons of Senior Division NCC Army Wing (100 Cadets) for the college students
have been raised since the last session (2013-14). This programme is conducted by
Dr. Naseem Ahmad Khan, Lecturer in Physical Education, as A.N.O./ Caretaker.
SPECIAL LECTURES
Special lectures of eminent educationists and experts of different fields are organized
by the college from time to time to acquaint the students with the latest research
and advancements in different areas.
MAGAZINE
The college magazine is also published for developing creative mind and original
thinking among students.
